Since 1970 Banfi Medaglie has been producing medals, pins and similar items in common and precious metals. The expertise acquired over the years allows us to play a leading role nationwide.

Our products include commemorative medals, key rings, pins for conferences and promotions, plates for personal or group achievements, customized cuff links and jacket buttons, art bars and mirror tokens. Each product is enhanced by unique working techniques and enamels, and delivered in fine packaging. All the items are worked in-house, which translates into the highest quality standards.

Making the coining die
Coinage involves using a die; steel is engraved by means of a pantograph, and the details are then gone over by hand, to accurately reproduce the original design. As for art medals, the die is obtained by reducing a model made by the sculptor in gypsum and melted into bronze. The sculptors who work with our company include Max Squillace.

Coinage
The metal to be used for a medal or pin is cold coined by means of suitable presses. If a single coinage step is not enough, the operation will be repeated following proper heat treatment. Finally, blanking is the operation that allows excess metal to be removed.

Galvanic working
The final steps involve coating each piece, which ranges from silver-plating to gold-plating and bronzing through galvanic baths and metal oxidation.

Packaging
Finally, the finished objects are packed in elegant cases.
